Featured Speaker:  Dr. Kevin Wagner serves as deputy director of engagement at the Texas Water Resources Institute. He assists with leadership of institute water programs and leads efforts to increase engagement with the water resources community across Texas and the nation. Dr. Wagner also engages in water resources research and leads development of inter-disciplinary teams to address water issues. Among his primary research interests are enhancing stakeholder engagement through better integration of scientific information with human systems and understanding of water use and adoption of conservation practices. He has served as principal investigator or co-principal investigator on more than 50 research projects and has authored or co-authored more than 65 technical publications. He also serves as an adjunct professor in Texas A&M's Soil and Crop Sciences Department. Dr. Wagner received a B.S. degree in Biology from Howard Payne University, an M.S. in Environmental Science from Oklahoma State University, and his Ph.D in Agronomy from Texas A&M.

Topic: Dr. Wagner will be speaking to the Network about the continuing research relative to the efficient use of water being conducted at the University of Texas A&M and the Institute. He will also speak to watershed planning and restoration, and the effectiveness of best management practices.
